Mission says council has earmarked $1,874,335 in its 2027 budget for six firefighters and four municipal support positions for the RCMP. The city says recruitment work is starting; the four police-support positions are not four additional sworn officers.
Council has directed further site and design work for potential sports and recreation amenities on a city-owned 39-acre property at 1010 LeFeuvre Road. Testing and feasibility work come next: this is a planning step, not an announcement that a new facility is open.

Chawathil First Nation and the Fraser Valley Regional District have signed a memorandum of understanding. The district describes it as a step to strengthen relations between the two governments. The announcement does not itself establish a new funding programme or service entitlement.
